Surrounded by ocean waves, this club rests on it’s own resort island. It is something magical, to have a whole island exclusively dedicated to golf, and is a layout few other courses can claim to have. Exclusive, luxurious, and unforgettable, this golf course is a must visit location. Â
Only accessible via boat or helicopter, just getting to the Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Club is an unforgettable experience in and of itself. Once there, take on the club’s variety of courses, crafted with lush greenery and beautiful landscaping to make for a once-in-a-lifetime golf experience.
Despite the opulence, and having been designed in part by a two time major champion and 2004 winning Ryder Cup Captain, Langer has made a course that appeals to golfers of all levels. So even if you are not a professional golf champion, this course is still guaranteed to be a fun, yet accessible challenge.Â
Constance Belle Mare Plage
Established nearly thirty years ago, the Constance Belle Mare Plage first opened its doors in 1994, making it one of Mauritius’ most recognised golf resorts. The location is home to two courses; the Legend Course and the Links Course, both of which are renowned the world over.Â

The Constance Belle Mare Plague is a pinnacle of Mauritius’ golfing prestige, with their championship courses annually hosting the Staysure Seniors Tour. Furthermore, the Links Course was designed in part by legendary golf star Peter Alliss, with the Legends Course somehow holding an even more prestigious pedigree, being ranked the fifth best course in Mauritius.Â
The Legend Course can be found along one of Mauritius’ picturesque beaches, decorated with forests teeming with local wildlife. The natural beauty of the island is what makes this course so mesmerising, with designer Hugh Baiocchi taking full advantage of the tools he was given. Legendary, beautiful, and unforgettable- this course is one that should be on every golf fans bucket list.Â
Added in 2002, the Links Course has done a phenomenal job of catering to guests eager to take on the Legend Course, whilst also being an excellent course in its own right.Â
Decorated with water features and forest scapes borrowed from the Legends Course, these natural contusions are both beautiful and challenging. Sweeping tree lines just a stone-throw away from Mauritius’ sealine, make this course just as memorable to its big brother Legend Course.Â
Mont Choisy Le Golf
Mont Choisy Le Golf is the island’s newest course, being opened in 2017. Yet despite its infancy, this course has already shown itself to be a must-visit location for any golf enthusiast, having been honoured with an opening by none other than Mauritius’ own Prime Minister
Designed by the legendary Peter Matkovich, this 6,200 yard course is situated at the aptly named Grand Bay. The course is one influenced by Mauritius’ own landscape, including volcanic outcrops, palm-fringed fairways, and the natural contusions of the land born from its history as a sugar cane plantation.
The course’s signature hole is it’s 15th. On an island green, it is framed by an old stone chimney, large in scale as it looks over the course. It is certainly a highlight of the course, and allows it to stand out amongst the course’s pre-existing natural beauty.Â
