The Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort is one of France’s golfing crown jewels.

Why The Terre Blanche?

The resort is world renowned, for its jaw dropping courses and luxurious resort services, including a 5-star hotel with an opulent indoor swimming pool and many massage and beauty treatments available to guests.

Words struggle to do the beauty of the Terre Blanche justice, so check out the video below to see just what this resort has to offer.

The Terre Blanche is dedicated to creating an unforgettable experience in every aspect for guests, with this care and attention to excellence encapsulated by their very own golf team.

The Terre Blanche’s amateur men’s team being back-to-back winners of the Gounouilhou Trophy; the award to the winners of the French 1st Division men’s championship that was held in Nîmes back in October, that has been a facet of French golf since 1926.

With such lucrative successes by their team under their belt, it is no wonder the Terre Blanche is a resort sorely sought after by golf enthusiasts, and that is without even mentioning the resort’s two world renowned courses.

First opening its doors in 2004, this resort and its courses have received many prestigious awards in its near 20 year history. Being named the ‘Best Golf Resort in Continental Europe’ by Golf World UK three times, and being first in Leadingcourse.com’s ranking of 36-hole French resorts

This resort is home to two championship courses; the Le Riou Course and the Le Chateau Course, both of which have been designed to capture the beauty of the French south, while also being designed with immaculately crafted water features within the space provided by the lush woodland.

Yet despite their similarities, both courses have their own distinct personalities, and challenges that make them both ideal for any golf enthusiast.

Le Château Course

Le Château Course is Terre Blanche’s most famous course, and for good reason.

Spanning over 6,600 yards, world-famous architect Dave Thomas was able to take the space and turn it into something truly magical. Utilising the area’s stunning woodlands, and combining them with his own personally designed water hazards and course paths, the course is one both challenging and rewarding. And if that isn’t enough, Thomas was even able to craft the course in such a way that players can even catch a glimpse of the Southern Alps; one France’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders.

The course is one designed for the die-hard golf fan, with its challenging courses sure to push your golf game to the limit. Being the host of popular professional events such as the French Riviera Masters; a particularly prestigious title, considering this event is France’s only Senior European Tour Championship, the course is no walk in the park.

Yet despite the challenge, the course is one accessible to all golfers. But for those who want to practice their swing before getting on the green, the Terre Blanche also offers a Training Centre, where guests can revise their swing and get warmed up for the once-in-a-lifetime course ahead of them.

Le Riou Course

Despite being an exclusive course for Terre Blanche club members and hotel guests, when visiting the resort, it is essential you play a round on the Le Riou course.

Looking out over the Pays de Fayence hilltop villages, this course has been designed to make a good challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The course is particularly well known for hosting the 1st stage in the renowned Ladies European Tour Access Series, the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, making it particularly popular with more experienced and professional players.

Take on this 18-hole, 6000m course are discover the vibrant flora, perfectly kept lawns, and expertly sculpted forest and foliage, and be ready to bask in the natural beauty of the French south that the course has encapsulated.

So, what are you waiting for? Book your tour around one of Frances most notorious golf resorts, and be ready to be amazed at the experiences the Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort has to offer.
