Exciting New Netflix Docuseries Coming Soon

Netflix reveals cast for new docuseries

In exciting news for fans, The PGA Tour has officially announced that they have joined forces with Netflix to produce an access-all-areas series that will cover the 2022 season.

On Wednesday, The Tour confirmed that for the first time, the show will provide “unprecedented access inside the ropes and behind the scenes” and follow “the lives and stories of top professional golfers across a season of high-stakes competition”.

The series comes after the success of the recent Formula 1 production ‘Drive to Survive’, which allowed fans to see what goes on behind the scenes. Golf fans will be gifted with a similar production, as the series is set to cover the ups and downs of all four major tournaments of the 2022 PGA Tour season.

Chief Media Officer of the PGA Tour, Rick Anderson, said in a statement: “This partnership with Netflix presents the PGA TOUR and the four major championships an opportunity to tap into a completely new and diverse audience. This documentary will give fans an authentic look into the real lives of our athletes, and what it’s like to win – and lose – during a season on the PGA TOUR.”

A statement has also confirmed a list of stars set to appear in the series including Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, and more. European Ryder Cup fan favourites Ian Poulter, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sergio Garcia have also been confirmed to appear in the 2022 series.

The series will be produced by Vox Media Studios and Box To Box Films, with the latter being behind the previously mentioned “Drive to Survive.” While an exact air date for the series is yet to be confirmed, fans are already anticipating its arrival and are looking forward to adding it to the top of their binge lists.
